Fort Stanton… 35 miles to the northeast, BlackJack Pershing, Kit Carson and the legendary Buffalo Soldiers all slept here … at the best preserved cavalry frontier fort in the nation.
White Sands National Monument… 60 miles to the southwest this place is one of a kind with its expansive dunes and bluebird sky. Interesting geology and flora and fauna as well.
The Trinity Site…70 miles to the northwest, this is the birthplace of the Atomic Age. When you arrive you’ll understand why they chose New Mexico as the test site for the first atomic bomb.
