Bed & Breakfast Inns - Most Ruidoso Bed & Breakfast Inns offer full or continental breakfasts with mid-meal snacks available. Most are located in natural settings on or near forested property. Most offer amenities such as kitchen access, in room whirlpools or community hot tubs, cable TV, fireplaces, private decks, grassed areas, gas grills and access to walking trails. On-site management.
Cabins - Ruidoso Cabins are the most traditional Ruidoso lodging style and are typically located in natural settings with forested property but they can also be located on main arterial streets. These are typically stand alone individual structures grouped together as a distinct cabin operation. Cabins amenities in addition to those usually include in room whirlpools, cabin side parking, cable TV, kitchens or kitchenettes fireplaces, private decks, grassed areas, gas grills, access to walking trails, nearby fishing, internet access or DVD rentals. On-site management.
Condominiums - This Ruidoso lodging style includes accommodations which are typically spacious, having multiple bedrooms and baths and where the buildings are grouped together often sharing common walls. These properties are usually set in wooded or partially wooded environments. Condominium amenities in addition to those listed above usually include in room whirlpools, cable TV, fireplaces, full kitchens, private decks, grassed areas, gas grills and game rooms. Lodges - Ruidoso Lodges, like cabins, are another form of traditional Ruidoso lodging and are usually located in natural settings with forested property. Theses accommodations are typically set together with some common walls. Lodge amenities in addition to those listed above may included in room whirlpools, room-side parking, cable TV, fireplaces, private decks, grassed areas, gas grills, access to walking trails, nearby fishing, internet access or DVD rentals. On-site management.
Hotels / Motels - Ruidoso has many hotels and motels. The national chains are open 24 hours. These establishments are usually multi-story with interior corridors and elevators and located on main arterial streets. Amenities in addition to those listed above may include a lobby with food or beverage service, spas, indoor pools, in room telephone, suites and kitchens. With Independent ownership, Ruidoso hotels and motels typically offer a 12 hour desk with on-site 24 hour management. These are typically one or two story structures located on main arterial streets. Resorts - These establishments are known for more extensive guest amenities than more typical hotel / motel properties. Most offer concierge services as well as on-site or nearby guest recreation activities. Food service is typically an integral part of the guest offerings.
Private Homes - These are private home, condos or cabins owned and operated by the individual owners themselves. Here, a private individual may own one or several properties and engage in the business of nightly rentals. These individuals may or may not reside in the Ruidoso area so there may exist some type of limited off-site management or there may be none depending on the property selected. No on-site management.
RV Parks and Campgrounds - Locations specifically dedicated to hosting short and long term parking and amenities for recreational vehicles. Abundant camping is available in the Lincoln National Forest but some RV Parks offer tent camping as well.
Property Managers - These are Real Estate firms that manage a wide variety of private residences for individual owners in Ruidoso. These properties are what are considered Ruidoso vacation rentals and may require longer minimum stays. These residences may be cabins, houses or condominiums. Some property managers are national chains with immediately familiar names and many are local Ruidoso real estate brokerages engaged in the business of nightly rentals for individual property owners. These firms typically offer off-site management for their properties with regular daily business hours for picking up keys and 24 emergency telephone numbers for after hour needs a guest may experience.
